Health Professionals Sleep Training Workshop
This workshop is certified and approved for 6 hours CPD by The CPD Certification Service
We are proud to be able to say that we have been commissioned to deliver sleep training for health professionals in the NHS across the UK and Eire since 2007 with many Trusts returning for repeat training and updates. In addition, our sleep workshops are now mandatory for staff in many NHS Trusts.

Millpond’s sleep workshops are led by Mandy Gurney founder of Millpond Children’s Sleep Clinic and Juliet Newson. Both Mandy and Juliet are highly experienced Sleep Therapists and have been working directly with families with sleep problems for over 18 years.

“I recently attended the Millpond sleep practitioner workshop and it was one of the best study days that I have ever attended. It has had a huge impact on my clinical practice, as I now have a better understanding of sleep cycles, preventing inappropriate sleep association and how to reset body clocks and feel more confident in supporting parents with children with sleep problems.”
Nicki Murray, Health Visitor
“This training day has been very positively received by all members of the health visiting team. Staff feel better equipped to assess and provide advice on interventions that are evidence based to support parents. I strongly recommend that all clinical staff attend this extremely valuable training.” Carol Adams, Clinical Educator Health Visiting. Lewisham NHS Trust
“I have never seen so many excellent evaluations of a study day. The Millpond Workshop was the most practical and useful training I have attended since I qualified as a health visitor, 27 years ago! In my opinion practical sleep sessions should be a core component of health visitor training. I would highly recommend the Millpond Training to anyone who works with children and families, as sleep is so important to everyone’s physical and emotional well-being.”
“I found the sleep practitioner study day extremely useful and have supported families since using strategies learnt on the day. I have also been able to share knowledge with my colleagues, which they have found useful too. The day also reinforced advice I was already giving – always good to know it is still current and relevant. The presenters were lively and held my interest throughout the day.” Sue Parker Community Nursery Nurse
